In response to the university labor union’s International Women’s Day initiative themed “Bloom with Brilliance, Embark on a New Journey,” the Department of Electrical Engineering Labor Union organized a walking event for female faculty and staff on March 17 at the Yuanmingyuan Park. The event aimed to encourage participants to step into nature, strengthen physical fitness, and enhance communication amid busy work schedules, while embracing the philosophy of “working healthily for the motherland for fifty years” with greater energy and enthusiasm.

On the day of the event, nearly forty faculty and staff members from the Department of Electrical Engineering gathered at the Yuanmingyuan Ruins Park during the lunch break. Participants walked along lakeside paths and wooded trails lined with gently swaying willows in the spring breeze, relaxing both body and mind while chatting and exchanging ideas, enjoying the beauty of spring and the warmth of the collective in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere. The event not only helped female faculty and staff effectively relieve stress and improve physical fitness, but also further inspired enthusiasm and motivation for teaching, research, management, and service work.

The Department of Electrical Engineering Labor Union will continue to focus on the practical needs of faculty and staff by organizing a wide range of cultural and sports activities with diverse formats and rich content, continuously improving service and support efforts, fostering a warm, harmonious, and positive collective atmosphere, and helping all faculty and staff devote themselves with greater vigor to the university’s development and talent cultivation endeavors.
