Recently, the 2025 China Power Electronics and Energy Conversion Conference and the 28th Annual Academic Conference and Exhibition of the China Power Supply Society (CPEEC & CPSSC 2025) were successfully held at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center. The IEEE Power Electronics and Applications International Conference (IEEE PEAS) was held concurrently. This grand event aimed to promote academic exchange and technological advancement in power electronics, energy conversion, and energy storage, facilitate industry–university–research collaboration, and represents the largest and highest-level comprehensive industry exchange conference in China’s power supply field.

Professors Li Yongdong, Xiao Xi, Zheng Zedong, Lu Haifeng, Sun Kai, and Wang Kui from the Department of Electrical Engineering attended the 10th Member Representative Conference of the China Power Supply Society held concurrently and were invited to participate in the first plenary session of the 10th Board of Directors. During the meeting, the faculty discussed discipline development plans and society service initiatives with experts and scholars from across the country, contributing Tsinghua University’s strength to the high-quality development of China’s power supply field.

The conference featured multiple specialized subforums. In the “Transportation Electrification” subforum, Professors Li Yongdong and Wang Chenchen from Beijing Jiaotong University served as co-chairs, jointly planning and organizing the forum. The subforum gathered many outstanding scholars and young researchers from Tsinghua and partner institutions for in-depth academic exchange. In addition, Professor Wang Kui was invited to participate in the “Power Supply Research Achievement Exchange” subforum and delivered a keynote report showcasing the team’s latest research, attracting widespread attention from domestic and international scholars.

The conference innovatively adopted a “conference + exhibition” integrated format, with a dedicated university exhibition area. Faculty from the Department of Electrical Engineering were invited to exhibit, presenting research results and cutting-edge developments to attendees. Professor Li Yongdong, head of the Advanced Electric Energy Conversion and Electrified Transportation team, accompanied several internationally renowned experts, including Professor Atsuo Kawamura from Yokohama National University, Japan (recipient of the IEEE William E. Newell Power Electronics Award), to visit the exhibition and introduce the team’s research outcomes.

During the academic presentation sessions, doctoral students from the Advanced Electric Energy Conversion and Electrified Transportation team performed excellently. Ni Shusen and Liu Zengyang participated in the poster session and were awarded “Outstanding Presenter” honors, while Pang Jupeng received the IEEE PEAS 2025 Excellent Paper Award and was recognized as “Outstanding Presenter” in the oral session.

Founded in 1983, the China Power Supply Society is dedicated to promoting the advancement of power supply science and technology and the development of the power supply industry in China. The society aims to foster technological progress, independent innovation, and industrial upgrading in the power supply sector. It comprises 14 specialized committees and 10 working committees and has actively organized academic exchange events, conducted continuing education activities, and established the “China Power Supply Society Science and Technology Award” to recognize individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to scientific research, technological innovation, new product development, and the application and promotion of technological achievements in China’s power supply field.
