From January 13 to 15, the iEnergy Perovskite Summit, co-hosted by iEnergy, Journal Center of Tsinghua University Press and the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA) of Tsinghua University, and co-organized by the Energy Internet Innovation Institute of Tsinghua University, was successfully held online. Bringing together top experts in the field of perovskite, this summit discussed the latest research results and future development trends. A total of 61 conference reports were made during the three-day summit, covering multiple research hotspots such as perovskite solar cells and perovskite light-emitting devices.

At the opening ceremony on the morning of the 13th, Professor Ding Liming, chairman of the summit from the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, delivered a welcome speech, thanking the experts and representatives for their support. Ding Liming introduced that this summit was held with the support of iEnergy, an English international journal in the field of electric energy founded by Tsinghua University, and he appealed to scholars in the field of energy to pay attention to and support the development of iEnergy, and looked forward to holding an offline conference in the near future to communicate face-to-face with the participants.

The founding editor-in-chief of iEnergy, Professor He Jinliang from EEA, introduced the mission of iEnergy and the scope of acceptable manuscripts. iEnergy is an interdisciplinary academic journal aiming to disseminate the latest research progress in cutting-edge fundamental theories and breakthrough technologies in the field of electricity and energy. In addition to publishing original research articles, iEnergy publishes research letters, reviews, news, expert opinions, research highlights and reviews from all related field.

On behalf of the host, Professor Kang Chongqing, Dean of EEA, thanked Professor Ding Liming who organized the summit and the experts and scholars who actively participated in the summit. Professor Kang Chongqing briefly introduced the history and development of EEA, especially emphasizing that in recent years, EEA has been actively exploring new directions such as the energy Internet in response to the major needs of the country. At the same time, EEA also attaches great importance to cutting-edge basic research. Associate Professor Yi Chenyi’s team achieved a series of innovative breakthroughs in the direction of “high-efficiency flexible solar cells”, which was selected as the highlight achievement of Tsinghua University in 2022.

Chen He, senior director of the Journal Center of Tsinghua University, said that sci-tech journals record and lead the development of science and technology, and the establishment of high-level journals will help to amplify Chinas voice in the global scientific community. Tsinghua University attaches great importance to the development of journals. With the support of Tsinghua University’s Journal Development Project, iEnergy has successfully published 4 issues since its inception, showing a good momentum of development. Tsinghua University Press will promote each paper published on iEnergy globally through various channels to increase the authors’ popularity among peers.
