On the afternoon of July 22, the launching ceremony of the cooperation between the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics of Tsinghua University and State Grid National Bio-Energy Group Co., Ltd. was held in the West Main Building of Tsinghua University. Yang Xiuqi, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Zhu Xiaocheng, Deputy General Manager, Zhu Jianjun, Deputy General Manager of State Grid National Bio-Energy Group Co., Ltd., Dean Kang Chongqing, Party Secretary Yu Xinjie, Deputy Dean Lu Chao of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics of Tsinghua University, and Huang Songling, Director of the Institute of New Technology and other leaders attended the ceremony. Professor Kang Chongqing, Dean of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics, firstly welcomed the visit of the State Grid National Bio-Energy Group. He pointed out that the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics of Tsinghua University has been implementing major national strategic policies. Under the current national "dual-carbon" goal and the establishment of a "New power system centered at new energies", EEA has achieved a number of breakthrough innovations, especially in the fields of energy Internet. EEA has established Tsinghua Energy Internet Innovation Research Institute in Beijing, Chengdu and other places, and released the "White Paper of National Energy Internet Development", which has been greatly supported and affirmed by the national party and government agencies, enterprises and institutions. Professor Kang Chongqing said that Tsinghua University and State Grid have been in a deep strategic cooperative relationship for many years. He hopes that both parties will take this cooperation launching ceremony as an opportunity to enlarge their own advantages and carry out in-depth cooperation in distributed photovoltaics, energy Internet, etc., and carry out R&D and exploration of new technologies to provide a feasible implementation path for the national energy development strategy.

Yang Xiuqi, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of National Bio-Energy Group first expressed his gratitude to Tsinghua University for its long-term care and support for the development of the company on behalf of the company. He said that as a specialized company of State Grid engaged in comprehensive energy development and utilization of biomass energy in counties, the National Bio-Energy Group is currently the world largest biomass power generation group. The company actively implements the national carbon peak and carbon neutral strategy, stands on the comprehensive utilization of biomass resources, actively develops the county-level comprehensive energy service market, and strives to build a batch of "carbon neutral counties" and "carbon neutral towns" for pilot demonstration to promote the transformation and development of the company. The Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics of Tsinghua University not only has strong scientific research strength in the fields of power system and energy environment, but also has the outstanding ability to efficiently transform high-level scientific research achievements into actual productivity. Associate Professor Yi Chenyi from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics of Tsinghua University gave a report titled "Perovskite Solar Cells and Their Application Prospects". He discussed the technical advantages of perovskite solar cells and their important role in the county-level integrated energy system and gave a detailed introduction and a display of the research achievements that the research team has made in this field. Zhang Yanru, assistant to the director of the Science and Technology Department of National Bio-Energy Group, gave a report titled "Biomass Energy — Serving the Revitalization of Rural Areas and Helping Create a Zero-Carbon Future", she described the role of biomass energy in the construction of the comprehensive energy system in counties, and introduced the entire industrial chain of "agriculture-environmental protection-energy" formed by biomass energy.

Subsequently, the two parties held a grand ceremony for signing a cooperation agreement. Lu Chao, Deputy Dean of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics of Tsinghua University, and Zhu Jianjun, deputy general manager of National Bio-Energy Group, signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties. According to the agreement, the two parties will cooperate in the fields of perovskite solar cell technology, "distributed photovoltaic + biomass" demonstration project, energy Internet innovation, and talent exchange.

Professor Yuan Jiansheng from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics of Tsinghua University, Postdoc Peng Lisha, and all members of Associate Professor Yi Chenyi's research group, and related personnel from the Office, Party Construction Department, Science and Technology Department, Operation Inspection Department, and Marketing Department of National Bio-Energy Group, participated in the above activities.

Introduction: National Bio-Energy Group Co., Ltd. is a specialized company engaged in comprehensive energy development and utilization comprehensive utilization of biomass energy in counties under the State Grid Corporation of China. It is also the world largest biomass power generation group and a national-level agricultural industrialization leading enterprise. It was approved for establishment in July 2005, with a registered capital of CNY 3.211 billion and total assets of CNY 14.277 billion. At present, the company has 4,600 employees, 48 branch companies in 12 provinces (cities, autonomous regions) across the country, 41 units in operation (7 in Shandong, 5 in Hebei, 5 in He'nan, 2 in Jiangsu, 4 in Anhui, 2 in Jiangxi, 1 in Sichuan, 4 in Heilongjiang 4, 4 in Jilin, 3 in Liaoning, 2 in Inner Mongolia, and 2 in Xinjiang), the total installed capacity in operation is 1101 MW, the annual power generated is 8.6 billion kWh, and 3 biomass power generation projects are under construction. It has 1 biomass natural gas and bio-organic fertilizer project, which can produce 11 million cubic meters of high-quality bio-natural gas annually after completion. This project is the first integrated energy utilization of biomass “electricity, heating, cooling, gas, and fertilizer” in China, highly recognized by the National Energy Administration, the Ministry of Finance and other ministries and commissions, and has been listed as a promotion project of the Global Environment Fund.
