On March 2, 2019, under the organization of the Online Education Research Center of the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Online Office of Tsinghua University (THU), Prof. Yu Xinjie, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Electrical Engineering (EEA), Prof. Zhu Guiping, vice-chairman of the Department, together with six other teachers of the Departments of Computer Science and Mathematics, flew to Xinjiang University to attend the seminar on the application of online courses of Tsinghua -Xinjiang University. The conference focused on the effective use of MOOC resources, the development of mixed teaching and the improvement of teaching quality. Yu Shijie, deputy director of the online education research center of the Ministry of Education and director of the online office of Tsinghua University, Jia Zhenhong, vice president of Xinjiang University, Wu Qian, director of the network information office of the Party Committee, Jia Lixia, director of the Educational Administration, Feng Xinlong, director of the Development Planning Department and director of the Partner Assistance office and more than 100 teachers, attended the meeting.

First of all, Vice President Jia Zhenhong thanked Tsinghua University for its long-term support. He hoped that through this activity, teachers of Xinjiang University would accelerate their understanding of online education resources and make further effective use of them to improve their teaching ability. Then, Director Yu Shijie reviewed the requirements of the THU leaders for partner assistance. He hoped that the teachers of Tsinghua University and Xinjiang University who participated in the mixed teaching reform could work together closely around the construction of "partner assistance" and "Double First-class" of Xinjiang University so as to effectively improve the quality of courses and the teaching level of teachers and promote the cultivation of talents.

Subsequently, Prof. Zhu Guiping made a report entitled Teaching Practice of Flipping Classroom Based on MOOC, introducing three application modes of the first national excellent online open course Circuit Principles in the entity classroom of Tsinghua University. Although all of them are based on flipping classrooms to implement online-offline hybrid teaching, they should be flipped to different degrees according to different teaching objectives, and their online-offline ratio should be different. Subsequently, Prof. Zheng Li of the Department of Computer Science and Associate Prof. Hu Zhiming of the Department of Mathematics also made reports on How to Promote the Reform of Classroom Teaching by MOOC+SPOC-Taking the C++ Language Programming Course as an Example and the Student-centered Hybrid Teaching Exploration-Taking Calculus Course as an Example, respectively. Through the three reports, the teachers of Xinjiang University have a preliminary understanding of the specific implementation methods of hybrid teaching using MOOC resources and some problems needing attention in the implementation process, such as content segmentation in class, and time allocation.

In the afternoon, Yu Xinjie and Zhu Guiping came to the College of Electrical Engineering of Xinjiang University and had more in-depth exchanges with the faculty representatives. Prof. Zhou Yuanxiang, dean of the College of Electrical Engineering of Xinjiang University, and Prof. Yao Qiang, the new president of Xinjiang University (former dean of Graduate School and Director of Development Planning Department of Tsinghua University) participated in the discussion. The two teachers put forward many concrete suggestions to the teachers of Xinjiang University on the "Circuit Principles" MOOC planned by the Electrical College at present and the method of hybrid teaching using the existing online MOOC resources of the school. Prof. Yu Xinjie opened his "cloning classroom" of circuit principle to each other this semester, and presented the courseware of circuit principle free of charge, which provided strong support for the hybrid teaching of circuit principle course in College of Electrical Engineering of Xinjiang University.
