Xinxin Wang received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1983, 1986 and 1990, respectively. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences from 1990 to 1992. As a Visiting Scholar he did research on plasma focus from 1994 to 1995 in Universitaet Stuttgart of Germany and research on capillary discharge soft X-ray laser in 1996 and 1997 in Technische Hochschule Darmstadt of Germany and Universitaet Dusseldorf of Germany. He is now a full professor with the Gas Discharge and Plasma Laboratory, Department of Electrical Engineering in Tsinghua University, Beijing, China and doing research on gas discharge and pulsed power technology, especially on Dielectric Barrier Discharge, Similarity of Gas discharge, Z-pinch and X-pinch. He has been the principle investigator of many academic projects. He is the author of more than 100 research papers in international journals and indexed by Web of Science with h-dex of 16.
