Biography

Qiang Song received his B.E.E. degree and Ph.D degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, both in Electrical Engineering, in 1998 and 2003 respectively. From 2003 to 2008, he was a lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Tsinghua University, Beijing ,China. Since 2008, he has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Tsinghua University. His main research interests are in high power electronic interfaces for utility system, Flexible AC Transmission System, VSC-HVDC system, power conversion system with high power density and high efficiency and custom power quality. He has been the PI of more than 15 academic and industrial projects. He is the author of 1 books on VSC HVDC system. He has published over 70 research papers.
