Haifeng Lu has been an associate Professor of Department of Electrical Engineering, Tsinghua University. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 1998 and 2001, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2005, all in electrical engineering. He is the professional committee member of electrical vehicle in China Electrotechnical Society. He is also the member of IEEE, PELS, and electric vehicle branch of China Automotive Engineering Institute. His current major research interests are in power electronics and motor drives in electrical vehicles. The research work is partly supported by the Natural Science Fund Committee (NSFC) and the National 863 high tech program. In recent years, some research results about vector control technology and PWM were obtained. Then these were applied to actual system with the help of collaboration partner, which promoted the industrialization of electric vehicles.
