Wang Bin is an associate researcher and doctoral graduate advisor in the Department of Electrical Engineering of Tsinghua University. He is also a Youth Changjiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education of China, an IET Fellow, a Senior Member of IEEE, the executive director of the Youth Program Committee of China Energy Research Society, the vice secretariat of the Active Distribution and Distributed Energy Special Committee of China Electrotechnical Society. He has been an active researcher in the automated dispatch of electric power system for over 13 years. His research was successfully implemented in various projects. For his contributions, he was awarded First Prize of The State Science and Technology Advancement Award. He also received 10 first class recognitions at the provincial/ministerial level. He was elected to Youth Talent Programs of the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering, China Electrotechnical Society, China Energy Research Society, and China Renewable Energy Society. He was the only member from Tsinghua University in China’s 41st Antarctic Expedition, where he was an integral part in the effort to build the renewable energy system in Qinling Station.
