Laijun Chen received the B.E. degree and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University in 2002 and 2011, respectively. Since 2012, he has been with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Tsinghua University, where he has been an Associate Professor since 2014.He has been engaged in counterpart support work at Qinghai University since 2013, and concurrently serves as the deputy dean of the School of Energy and Electrical Engineering and the deputy director of Qinghai Key Laboratory of Efficient Utilization of Clean Energy. awarded Ministry of Education of Young Talent Program and the leading talent of National High-level Talents Special Support Program.In addition,he serves as the Vice Chairman of IEEE PES China Membership Committee, a member of Grid-connected Energy Storage and Operation Control Technology Sub-committee of the IEEE PES Technical Committee–China, a member of Electrotechnical mathematics Professional Committee of Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering, a member of Energy Storage/Integrated System Professional Committee of Chinese Renewable Energy Society, a member of Renewable Energy and Energy Storage Professional Committee of Chinese Association of Automation, etc. He is a member of editorial board/youth editorial board of Science China Technological Sciences, CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems, Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems,High Voltage Engineering, Renewable Energy Resources and other journals. He has presided 4 National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 National Key Research and Development Programme project. He has published more than 120 journal papers (including more than 50 SCI journal papers), and authorised more than 80 invention patents. He has won more than 10 provincial and ministerial awards, including 1 first prize of Qinghai Provincial Scientific and Technology Award, 1 first prize of Anhui Provincial Scientific and Technology Award, 1 special prize of Science and Technology Invention Award of China Electrotechnical Society.
