On January 19, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) announced the list of newly electedfellows (ACM Fellows) in 2021, and a total of 71 scientists were selected. Li Feifei, an alumnus of the Department of Electrical Engineering (admitted as an undergraduate in1997), wasone of them.

Li Feifei is theVice President of Alibaba Group, Head of Alibaba Cloud Intelligent Database Product Division,andHead of Database and Storage Laboratory ofDAMO Academy. In 1997, recommendedby the science experimental class of the State Education Commission of the High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University, he was admitted tothe Department of Electrical Engineering of Tsinghua University, and then went abroadfor further study.He is mainly engaged in the research ondatabase systems,design and development ofbig data management theories and systems, and security ofcloud data management.He was elected for contributions to database query processing and optimization and cloud database systems.
