About the Awardee

Li Nanjia is a doctoral student in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics Technology at Tsinghua University, supervised by Associate Professor Li Shisong. Her doctoral research focuses on precision electromagnetic measurement and quantum mass standard technology, particularly the development of the tabletop watt balance KBmini. Li Nanjia has closely followed the international frontier, worked diligently, made bold attempts, and conducted repeated experiments. By her second year as a direct-entry doctoral student, she had already achieved substantial research results, all of which have been published in internationally authoritative measurement/metrology journals such as Metrologia and IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement. At this CPEM conference, the title of the paper submitted by Li Nanjia is "Recent Advances in Tabletop Kibble Balance – KBmini," showcasing the latest research progress of the Tsinghua team in the field of tabletop watt balances.
About the Award
CPEM (Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements) is the most authoritative international academic conference in the field of precision electromagnetic measurement, held every two years. The 2026 CPEM conference was held from September 6 to September 11, 2026, in Madrid, Spain, with participants including scholars, experts, and graduate students in the field of electromagnetic metrology from more than 40 countries, including the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, and China. The CPEM Early Career Program was established by the CPEM Executive Committee to support young scholars in the early stages of their careers in participating in CPEM conference exchanges. Participants selected for the CPEM Early Career Program are typically young researchers from national metrology institutes of various countries who have achieved high-level innovative results. Li Nanjia's successful selection this time not only recognizes her research capabilities and the research results she has achieved, but also fully reflects the research strength and talent cultivation quality of the Department of Electrical Engineering in the field of precision electromagnetic measurement.
