On November 15, the 2025 annual work meeting of the first batch of “14th Five-Year Plan” national energy R&D innovation platforms — the “National R&D Center for Energy Storage Equipment and System Integration Technology” (hereinafter referred to as: the Center) — was successfully held at the TBEA Headquarters Park in Wuqing District, Tianjin. The meeting was chaired by Sun Kai, Deputy Dean of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Tsinghua University.

The meeting began with a speech by Kang Chongqing, Dean of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Head of the Center, representing the lead construction unit. Sun Kai reported on behalf of the platform construction team the Center’s annual progress in key core technology breakthroughs, innovative platform team development, testing and pilot line construction, organizational management, and funding. He also summarized the Center’s mid-term achievements in supporting national strategic priorities, improving the national innovation system, driving industrial innovation, and ensuring industry safety and stability.
