
On October 18, the General Assembly of Members and the Council Handover Meeting of the Tsinghua EEA Alumni Association was grandly held in Xi’an, Shaanxi. Ji Junmin, Deputy Director of the Tsinghua University Board of Trustees and Vice President of the Tsinghua Alumni Association, members of the second council, and EEA alumni from various regions gathered in person, while some alumni and council members participated online, jointly witnessing an important moment in the branch’s development and discussing a new chapter in alumni work and disciplinary advancement. The meeting was hosted by Yu Zhanqing, Deputy Party Secretary of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA) and Secretary-General of the Second Council of the Tsinghua EEA Alumni Association.

Ji Junmin’s Speech
At the beginning of the meeting, Ji Junmin, in his speech, affirmed the significant achievements of the EEA Branch in uniting alumni, building communication platforms, and supporting disciplinary development. He expressed his sincere gratitude to alumni who have long cared for and supported the branch and the development of the EEA. At the same time, in light of current trends in the power industry and the mission of talent cultivation in universities, he outlined expectations for the branch’s future work, encouraging it to continue playing a bridging role and to unite more alumni to contribute Tsinghua’s strength to the progress of the Electrical Engineering discipline and the development of the nation’s energy sector.

Zheng Zedong Presents the Second Council Work Report
The assembly then listened to and reviewed the work report of the EEA Branch Second Council. Vice President Zheng Zedong systematically summarized the concrete measures and achievements during the council’s term, including alumni network building, academic exchange activities, and the improvement of the alumni service system. Representatives discussed the work report thoroughly and gave full recognition. The meeting announced the list of the new council members. Member representatives reviewed and approved the new council member list through a show of hands and online statements, marking the formal transition from the old to the new council.




Issuance of Appointment Letters
Ji Junmin presented appointment letters to the present members of the third council.
Looking ahead, under the leadership of the new council, the EEA Branch will continue to uphold the mission of serving alumni, the alma mater, and society, deepen communication and cooperation among alumni, and contribute more Tsinghua wisdom and alumni strength to the innovative development of the Electrical Engineering discipline and the implementation of the national energy strategy.
