Recently, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Regulations on Fellows of the China Electrotechnical Society (Trial), the China Electrotechnical Society (CES) announced the list of individuals awarded the title of Fellow for 2025 after evaluation by the Society’s Fellows Selection Committee.
Professors Dong Xinzhou and He Jinliang from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA) were elected as Fellows of the China Electrotechnical Society (CES Fellows).

The China Electrotechnical Society (CES), established in 1981, is an academic organization voluntarily formed by professionals in the electrical engineering field and serves as an important social force for the development of electrical engineering in China. Its professional scope includes: electrical machines and apparatus, power electronics and drives, power systems and automation, electrical theory and new technologies, high voltage and insulation, among others.
Since 2021, CES has established the Fellow system to recognize members who have achieved outstanding accomplishments in electrical engineering or related disciplines, possess deep academic expertise, have made significant inventions or contributions, and have played an important role in the Society’s development. Fellowship is the highest honor awarded to members, with nominations and selections held annually. The number of domestic Fellows elected each year does not exceed 10, and foreign Fellows are limited to no more than 3 annually.
Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Engineering, recipients of the Gao Jingde Science and Technology Achievement Award, and former presidents and vice presidents of the China Electrotechnical Society are exempt from the Fellows selection process. They may become Fellows directly with the approval of the Society’s Standing Council, without occupying the annual quota of Fellows.
