On March 13, 2023, China Power Supply Society issued a document “Decision on Conferring the First Group of Fellows of China Power Supply Society” (CPSS  No. 4). 14 comrades including Han Yingduo from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA) were elected as the first group of CPSS Fellows in 2022 after nominated by the first CPSS Fellow Nomination and Election Committee, reviewed by the CPSS Chairman Meeting and approved by the Standing Council.
Chen Boshi, an alumnus admitted to EEA in 1946 and Li Chongjian, an alumnus admitted to EEA in 1972, were also elected as CPSS Fellows.
The “Regulations on the Election of CPSS Fellows” is formulated in accordance with the “Articles of Association of the China Power Supply Society”. In order to encourage members of the society to ceaselessly climb the peak of science and technology, and to commend those who have made outstanding achievements in power supply and related fields or have made significant contributions to CPSS, CPSS elects fellows once a year, and the number of fellows elected each time generally does not exceed 1% of the number of all members of the Society. CPSS Fellow is the highest and lifelong honor for members of the China Power Supply Society.
