On November 21-25, 2021, the 22nd InternationalSymposium on High Voltage Engineering (ISH 2021) was successfully held in the “Western China Science and Technology Innovation Port”. ProfessorHeJinliang and Associate ProfessorHuJun from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics of Tsinghua University received the Excellent Oral Award and theExcellent Poster Award for the paper “Micro-cantilever Electric Field Sensor Based on Piezoelectric-piezoresistive Coupling” and “Design of a Miniaturized Bounded Wave Simulator for Broadband and Intensive Electric Fields”. The first author of the paper is Han Zhifei, a PhD student in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics.

The International Symposium on High Voltage Engineering (ISH) is aworldlarge-scale, high-level academic and most influential event in the field of high voltage and insulation technologies. It has been held every two years since 1972. ISH 2021 was organized by Xi’an Jiaotong Universityinonline and offline forms. It attracted more than 500 people from universities, scientific research institutes and enterprises from 24 countries, andaccepted466 papers. ISH 2021consists of 20 oral reportsub-forums and 20 poster presentationsub-forums to exchange the latest progress and achievements inelectromagnetic fields, transient overvoltage, high voltage and high current testing technology, advanced materials and insulation systems, monitoring and testing, UHV DC transmission technologies and systems, high-voltage engineering issues in future power grids, and high-voltage industrial applications.Awards were granted to a total of 15 excellent reports, including8 excellent oral reports and 7 excellent posters.

Zhifei Han, a direct Ph.D studentadmitted to the Department of Electrical Engineeringand Applied Electronics in2018, under the tutelage of Professor He Jinliang,and engaged in the research onadvanced electromagnetic measurement technology and sensor chips.
