On the morning of October 28, 2019, Steven Chu, a professor at Stanford University, former Secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy and Nobel laureate, Wang Qi, executive chairman of the US-China Green Energy Council, Daniel Kammen, an outstanding energy professor at University of California, Berkeley, and other three associated people visited the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronic Technology (EEA) of Tsinghua University. Prof. Kang Chongqing, Dean of the EEA, and together with vice Dean Prof. Xiao Xi, Prof. Zhu Guiping, Associate Prof. Lu Zongxiang, vice secretary of the Party Committee, Prof. Wang Shanming, Associate Prof. Liu Yingyan and Associate Prof. Lu Chao of the EEA, warmly received the delegation.

During the meeting, Kang Chongqing extended a warm welcome to Prof. Chu and his delegation, briefed the guests on the history of the EEA, and accompanied them to visit the State Key Laboratory of Power System. Prof. Chu and Prof. Kang Chongqing also gave away each other souvenirs.
