From March 4 to 8, 2018, the IEEE Applied Electric Power Electronics Conference (IEEE APEC 2018) was held in San Antonio, USA. The paper entitled “A phase-shift-based synchronous rectification scheme for bi-directional high-step-down CLLC resonant converters”, presented by Gao Yucheng on behalf of the Research Team of New Energy Generation and Microgrid System of the Institute of Power Electronics and Electric Machinery Systems in the Department of Electrical Engineering (DEE), Tsinghua University, won the Outstanding Presentation Award. A novel synchronous rectification method for resonant converter is proposed in this paper. Without high precision measurement and complex calculation, the converter can maintain symmetrical characteristics in bidirectional power transmission, and the operation efficiency of the converter can be improved.

This paper is completed jointly by Gao Yucheng, Sun Kai, Lin Xiang and Guo Zhiqiang, the Research Team of New Energy Generation and Microgrid System of the Institute of Power Electronics and Electrical Machinery Systems, Department of Electrical Engineering. Prof. Sun Kai is the correspondence author. The IEEE APEC is the top international conference on power electronics. It is held in March every year. More than 3000 experts, scholars and business representatives attend the Conference.
