Team Research Directions

The main fields of research include power electronic converters, motor control and power drive systems, motor design, and fault diagnosis in electrified transportation and special power systems. The team aims to master the core technology of the discipline and provide support for high-end applications to become the top research team nationally and internationally, with significant influence in the industry. The ultimate goal is to apply the research results in key models and engineering equipment.

Main Applications

The main applications encompass more-electrical and all-electrical drives for electrified transportation (including rail transit, electric vehicles, ships, etc.), featuring advanced power electronic converters, power conversion equipment, high-performance motors, their control systems, and corresponding distributed power systems. This represents the most advanced application of high-performance motor control systems and power electronics technology, and a crucial field in the future energy consumption revolution.

Special power systems include large aircraft power systems, VLF communication power supplies, special motor drive systems, etc. Among these, the power supply system of large aircraft, including the integration of starter-generator systems, environmental control, electric de-icing, and electric actuation, is key to the development of China's C929 power supply system core technology. Communication power supplies using high-frequency power electronic converters instead of traditional analog circuits can achieve high efficiency, high dynamic response, precise control of communication power supplies, and more flexible frequency changes.
